IDF Dignity Project is to create awareness about menstrual hygiene and provide sanitary pads/kits for a year to needy students free of cost, to ensure that the needy students don’t fall short of facilities to have a happy period.
Education is of prime importance. IDF Bal Gurukul projects are a success-proven sustainable development model.  IDF in its diversified objectives has included village development and education programmes into its fold.
“Project Aashayein – A Ray of Hope “is dedicated to reach-out underprivileged kids who will be facilitated with books and stationary materials for their education during the start of the academic year. The objective is to promote the importance of education so that these kids do not drop out from schools and complete their education.
“Project UMEED” is an initiative of the Indian Development Foundation to support students with their school fees. The project is dedicated for children who have single parent or who are orphans. Also the support is extended to children who are extremely poor facing financial difficulties.

Indian Development Foundation (IDF) organizes a training workshop for school students. The programme, Student Leadership Programme (SLP) is a 16-hour power-packed programme.  Every Saturday for 8 weeks for 2 hours each.  7 days of life-skill training and the eighth day is for a certificate presentation to all the students.

This will provide Employability Skills for Students at the Colleges to help them be the Leaders of tomorrow. IDF partners with Corporate/Industry speakers who will help the students in acquiring a specific skill from the 21st Century Citizen Skills framework.

RCOE has Signed a MOU with Indian Development Foundation (IDF)’s Student Leadership Programme (SLP) focuses on training leadership skills among students in different schools. Students are mostly drawn from aided/ unaided/ municipal schools. SLP project was launched in Jan. 2014 and it has grown over the years creating student leaders in different cities in India. SLP has become a proven model for student leaders.

Workshop on "Student Leadership program"

Rahul College of Education has been working on various programs that encourage teacher-learners to develop multidimensional perspectives. To take this legacy forward and develop leaders of the future we have now collaborated with Indian Development Foundation on its flagship program called “Student Leadership program”.It has been an honor to work with such an inspiring mentor. Ms.Mallika Ramachandran has been tirelessly working towards the cause for every child to access education as this is the very foundation of good quality of life.
Ms. Mallika Ramchandran started her career as a counselor in an NGO performing pre and post-test counseling on WHO guidelines for HIV patients at GT and Nair hospitals, both of which are leading Municipal Hospitals in Mumbai. Her experience in several corporates as an HR professional adds to various dimensions of her career.
For six years she has been working with the IDF. To talk of her qualification she has her Master’s in clinical psychology, an MBA in HR, and a postgraduate program in development management from the prestigious S. P. Jain institute of Mumbai. Its been an inspiring session to foster leadership skills in teaching learners that can help in fostering mentoring skills for young student leaders and developing a sense of being change makers. And we are looking forward to running this program shortly.
