Exam-Information

The examination of D.El.Ed. is conducted at the end of each academic year by MAHARASHTRA STATE COUNCIL OF EXAMINATION, PUNE.

Criteria for passing the exam:

  • Attendance : The candidate appearing for first or second year final exam must have more than 80% attendance.

  • Summative (written) examination: The candidate appearing for first or second year final exam must score minimum 50% marks ;although the candidate appeared for first year exam and failed to score 50% marks is eligible to be admitted to second year.

  • Supplementary (written) examination: The candidates who fail to secure 505 marks in the written examination can reappear in the month of October for supplementary examination.

  • Duration: The D.El.Ed. programme is of 2 years. Although the candidate must complete the program within 3 years from the date of admission.

  • Formative evaluation: It is the responsibility of the institute as well as the candidate to complete the formative evaluation within time. If the candidate fails to complete it before the end of two years, he will be considered as failed.

  • The combined dimensions of passing : The candidates scoring a minimum of 50% marks in each subject(formative + written) or minimum ‘C’ grade and also in grand total minimum 50% or minimum ‘C’ grade will be considered as ‘pass’.

  • Final result will be declared on the basis of consolidated marks of both the years.
  • The marks and grades of both the years will be shown on the final result.
